Hello again,

Renee Fleming is in town! As you can imagine we're all pretty excited about that, and some lucky people have even got to see her perform her 'signature' role in Dvorak's Rusalka at the Royal Opera House, London. In Australia and New Zealand our bright young star Hayley Westenra has been charming audiences at the launch of her debut album "Pure". Meanwhile back at the office, we're gearing up for a fairly hectic release schedule this autumn and we thought now would be a good time to mention two of our big new albums for the fall. Cecilia Bartoli's "The Salieri Album" sounds fantastic and features an entire album of World Premiere recordings, and Luciano Pavarotti has finally been tempted into the studio for his long-promised album of popular songs entitled "Ti adoro".

Janine Jansen, the young Dutch violinist makes her Proms debut in a few days time. Those of you in the UK and Netherlands may have seen her Decca debut album already. For the rest of you, it's only a small wait, but well worth it! From one of our newest stars, to one of our most venerated: 50 years since the death of Kathleen Ferrier, our new retrospective album chronicles the tragically short life of one of England's finest contraltos. Read on for all the details and please feel free to send us a note if you have any ideas or suggestions.

Wim Jenkins,
Website Editor, Decca Music Group, London
