Thanks to Paul and Jason in OZ, for taping Hayley's appearance on the The Big Arvo, and posting it to us.

Singer - Hayley Westenra

New Zealander Hayley Westenra is certainly multi-talented. She started off as a violinist, but soon found that it is her voice that is her major talent - not that she stopped playing the violin! Singing classical, opera and show tunes, Hayley is a big star in her native New Zealand, and her platinum-selling self-titled album has just hit the stores here. This is one young woman who is going places! Hayley popped up on the Big Arvo to give Ben a hand in his Big Cookup, which was lucky, because it gave Jen a chance to quiz her about her career and her love of music. Hayley generously decided to stick around, even after Ben's atrocious cooking (just kidding, Ben), and she gave the Big Arvo crew a treat with a gorgeous live rendition of her song 'Bit of your heart'. Hayley Westenra is a talent to watch!

TV Hits Editor - Fiona Wright

Fiona Wright from the fabulous mag TV hits dropped in to tell us all about the results of the TV Hits Babe of the Year poll. For all you Slim Shady fans, it's time to celebrate, because your favourite babe, Eminem, topped the results for the guys. The Aussie singer with the Innocent Eyes, Delta Goodrem, won top position for the girls, which is a great result for Australian pop stars! Also in the mag are a lot of get-well wishes for Delta and a great piece on Home & Away's Chris Egan, who, we're sad to say, is leaving the show to try out his talent in the bright lights of Hollywood. Could we have another Heath Ledger on our hands? Thanks Fiona!

Beach volleyball champ - Kerri Pottharst!

Were you watching in the year 2000 when Kerri Pottharst and Natalie Cook won Olympic gold? Who could forget their amazing performance in the Beach Volleyball stadium on Bondi Beach! One half of that award-winning duo drops in on the Big Arvo to tell us all about her latest projects. Kerri has been throwing her support behind Coastcare, an organization that is devoted to looking after Australia's coastline and estuaries. After all her time spent on Australia's beaches playing volleyball, it's no wonder Kerri wants to do her bit to help the environment. Find out more about Coastcare by clicking here.

Winter Olympian, Alisa Camplin!

The world champ aerial skiier, Alisa Camplin joined the Big Arvo team to pitch in when Ben was away. We had heaps of fun with Alisa and she told us all about her training and preparation for her medal winning performance in Salt Lake City. Alisa also helped out Anna in the Big Lab and made Luke her signature sandwich - Vegemite and Apple. While we're not too sure about that sandwich combo, we do know that Alisa is a very talented and inspiring young sporstwoman. Alisa, you rock!

The Thorpedo splashed in!

Lucky for us, on unlucky Friday 13 June, Ian Thorpe jumped aboard the Big Bus. With Ben still out and about, Ian was great help around the bus. Ian helped Jen cook up a batch of honeycomb, he also showed us a sneak preview of his new DVD. Ian even shared some fantastic advice for young swimmers and athletes. Everyone at Big Arvo was so impressed with Ian's amazing energy and motivation, it's no wonder he's a world champion. Thanks Ian!
