Bid Cities: New York Pops Celebrate NYC2012

On Thursday, July 29 at 8PM, join thousands of New Yorkers in Bryant Park for a free New York
Pops concert in support of NYC2012. Titled, "New York – The World's Second Home," the concert will feature music from the many cultures that call New York home.

Carnegie Hall's New York Pops, who have never played in Bryant Park, are led by director Skitch Henderson, a former director for Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, who hopes that, "through this concert and the efforts of NYC2012 we can demonstrate that all of the world's nations have a cheering section here in New York City." The concert will feature Cuban-born and six-time Grammy winning saxophonist Paquito D'Rivera and New Zealand's multi-platinum vocalist Hayley Westenra.

Join members of NYC2012's Circle of Olympians and Paralympians under the stars at Bryant Park for a night of spectacular music.
