Fresh off her first whirlwind press tour in LA and NYC, 16-yr-old New Zealand singing sensation Hayley Westenra has now charmed the entertainment world on both sides of the Atlantic. Upon meeting with top executives at major film and tv network studios, Westenra came away with a guest appearance on the hit NBC show "American Dreams" and has already been called in to audition for two film appearances. Hayley also gave a mesmerizing performance of some of the songs from her internationally-acclaimed hit debut CD, PURE, at a showcase at Times Square Studios in NYC, and those in attendance were truly impressed. PURE will be released in the US April 6 on Decca.

Hayley Westenra has also recorded a new song entitled "Here Beside Me" which will be an end title track for the forthcoming DVD/video of the Disney animated film "Mulan 2," to be released Sept. 14, 2004. The first "Mulan" DVD sold a staggering 12 million copies.

Hayley has earned another two remarkable accolades in her short but already incredible career, with PURE having just surpassed one million in sales in UK, Asia and Australia/New Zealand, and also becoming the 4th longest running #1 album of all time in New Zealand (and the longest running local artist as well). With "Pure" #1 for the 17th week this week (Sun 1 Feb) only Abba, Dire Straits and Shania Twain have spent more weeks in the top spot.

Hayley Westenra will embark on her first international headlining tour that will include stops in New Zealand, Australia (where she will perform at the Sydney Opera House), Japan and Europe beginning Feb. 16.
