Hayley Westenra Postpones PPAC Concert
Tour Rescheduled For Spring 2006

The Providence Performing Arts Center announced Monday that Hayley Westenra will not be performing at PPAC as scheduled on April 30.

A PPAC news release said Westenra's 2005 spring tour will be rescheduled for the spring of 2006 to support the release of her new album. The spring 2006 tour dates have not yet been announced. Westenra's future concert schedule will be posted on her Web site.

The 17-year-old singer hails from New Zealand.

Patrons holding tickets for the April 30 performance should contact the PPAC box office at (401) 421-ARTS to obtain a full refund. Patrons who purchased their tickets online will have their credit card accounts automatically reimbursed, PPAC said.
