Proms in the Park returned to Manchester with another
evening of thrilling live music-making from the BBC's
local orchestra, the fabulous Philharmonic, with New
Zealand singer Hayley Westenra and Heather Stott.

Big Screens

The
BBC Big Screens will broadcast from Exchange Square
in Manchester, Chamberlain Square in Birmingham, Clayton
Square in Liverpool and Victoria Square in Hull. The
big screens is a BBC project that began in 2003 and
enables mobile broadcasts of music, sport and national
events to outdoor audiences nationwide.

BBC
Proms in the Park is broadcast live across BBC Radio
and Television. Radio 2 broadcasts live coverage from
Hyde Park, and BBC Radio Wales, Scotland, Ulster and
GMR will broadcast their local events. Televised highlights
of all five Proms in the Park will be shown as part
of BBC1 and BBC2's live coverage of the Last Night
of the Proms and the second half of the BBC Family
Prom in the Park will broadcast live on BBC Two.
Digital
TV viewers can press the red button to access an interactive
TV service for the Last Night of the Proms on BBC2
and BBC1. The interactive service will enable digital
TV viewers to access programme notes for the concert
in the Royal Albert Hall and live footage from Proms
in the Park concerts.

and booking facilities for each concert at bbc.co.uk/proms/pitp/.
Note: all BBC Proms in the Park events
are outdoors and tickets are unreserved. The use of
chairs is discouraged since it obstructs the view
of others, but if you find it necessary because of
limited mobility, please be considerate to your neighbours.

items, barbecues or flaming torches.
