18 year-old international singing sensation HAYLEY WESTENRA
will be joining IL DIVO for their extensive tour of North
America,
Australia
and Europe from January 2006.
Kicking off at the end of January 2006
in the US, the tour will see Hayley open for Il Divo throughout the US,
Canada and Australia and hit the road in Europe from late March onwards,
covering Ireland, the UK, Sweden,
Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland,
Italy, Spain and France.
This is a very exciting development in the dynamic career of Decca's stunning
young star, who has already achieved so much for her tender years: Hayley
has performed for royalty and heads of state including
Her Majesty The Queen of England, President George Bush and Prime Minister
Tony Blair as well as performing in some of the world's most prestigious
venues, including Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House. She is also the
youngest ever Ambassador for UNICEF!
Following the success of her debut album, Pure, which sold over 2
million copies worldwide, Hayley has just released her second album Odyssey - which
shot straight to number 10 in the
UK
pop charts and is now triple Platinum in her native
New Zealand
. Odyssey showcases Hayley's new found vocal
maturity and features a new rendition of Joni Mitchell's 'Both Sides Now',
as well as an inspired duet 'Dell'Amore Non Si Sa' with
worldwide icon Andrea Bocelli.
No stranger to sharing the stage with
some very famous male voices; Hayley has sung with Bryn Terfel, Andrea
Bocelli, Jose Carreras; and now she's very excited
to be supporting the four dashing young Tenors, who are IL DIVO.
